Cottage Rental Policies

Alcohol/Firearms/Fireworks – alcoholic beverages shall be confined to the cottage – no alcohol consumption under 19 years of age – use of illegal drugs of any type will result in immediate eviction and/or police intervention – Firearms, slingshots, air rifles, fireworks (including Chinese Lanterns) or any other explosive are NOT permitted in the Park 

BBQ – a BBQ is provided – advise Management if a propane fill is required – do not move BBQ from it’s current location even in inclement weather – current location is for fire code compliance

Campfires – campfires are permitted (no daytime burning) unless there is a fire ban (check with Management) and must be in fire pit provided only – do not relocate any fire rings – all fires must be completely out before retiring or checking out – NO wood permitted to be brought into the Park – wood may be purchased at the Office during Office hours and will be delivered in time for your evening fire

Check-Out – our cottage check-out time is promptly at 10:00 a.m. – late check-outs are not available in the high season

Cottage Contents – please do not re-arrange furniture inside cottages (including mattresses) – do not move inside furniture outside including to the porch, use the outdoor furniture provided – credit card will be charged for any damaged or missing items, including dishes & utensils – DO NOT  touch the electrical panel – if there are any electrical problems, contact Management – please do not bring Muskoka chairs/seats from the beach area to your cottage/fire pit area, use the outdoor furniture provided

Damages – renter is responsible for any damages caused to the interior, exterior and contents of the cottage – no carving into picnic table provided – no nails to be put in the cottage walls (inside or out)

Docks/Beach/Playground – ABSOLUTELY no children under 13 allowed on docks, playground or the beach unsupervised by an adult  at any time – no one is permitted on the docks unless renters have brought their own boat or have rented a boat/slip from the park – swimming after dark and from docks is not permitted

Fish Cleaning – please do not clean fish anywhere at the cottage – fish cleaning station is at the waterfront by the boat shed – please use freezer provided for fish guts that have been bagged and tied – freezer is in the tractor shed by the garbage facility – fishing from our docks is not permitted

Garbage/Recycle – renter is responsible for garbage removal during and at the end of your stay –  garbage bin is located behind main house or take home with you – all garbage to be securely placed in bags prior to being placed in the Park containers – please recycle using the recycle bin provided in the screened porch – recycle bin to be taken to Recycle Shed and separated accordingly as required during and at the end your stay – DO NOT LEAVE GARBAGE IN SCREENED PORCH

Guests at Cottage – the cottage is for the enjoyment of the registered renters only, up to the maximum occupancy per cottage (4 persons total for the 2 bedroom and or 6 persons total in the 3 bedroom) – no guests are permitted (including persons who may be camping or have a seasonal trailer in our Park) if cottage is at full capacity – any visitors (including persons who may be camping or have a trailer in our Park) must be approved by Management prior to the visit, must register at the Office prior to visiting the cottage and are subject to fees – see rates page for fees – absolutely no overnight guests other than the registered renters are permitted under any circumstance – family/group get-togethers are not permitted at our cottages

Indemnity – cottage renter must be at least 25 years of age – if registered renters are unrelated (ie. not spouses or family, etc.)  all persons in the rental party must be 25 – cottage renters are responsible for their guests and families’ activities at all times – renters must be in charge of their children at all times – Pineridge Resort has no responsibility for any person or persons using the cottage and surrounding grounds for loss or injury to their person or property, whether loss through fire, theft, collision or vandalism including all items stored on Pineridge Resort property (ATVs, snowmobiles, boats, trailers for these vehicles, automobiles, etc.)

Linens – bedding and linens are not provided – please bring your own towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and any other bedding you may require – beds are twin-size or king-size – a suggested list of items to bring can be found on “Our Cottages” page

Motorized Vehicles – the Park is ATV and snowmobile-friendly, however all vehicles must be plated and insured and may only be driven by persons holding a valid Ontario Drivers License (this includes golf carts) – they may be ridden on Park property only to access trails – no child-size ATV’s are permitted on Park property – proof of liability insurance must be provided for ATV’s and golf carts

Parking – cottage parking is to the right side of each respective cottage – max. of 2 cars per cottage – renters’ guests may not park at cottages – contact Management for additional parking spaces if required

Pets – non-shedding pets  are welcome but must be registered and approved by Management prior to renting (to a max. of 2) – fees apply to pets – we do not allow hyper-active or aggressive breeds (Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, etc.) – dogs must be on a leash and under control at all times – always stoop and scoop – no continuous barking or dog and owners will be required to leave without refund – ABSOLUTELY NO PETS permitted on our beach or in playground areas, unless on a leash, for the safety of the children in our Park – NO PETS IN THE WATER to the right side of our dock system (our swimming area) at any time – the pet swimming area is to the left of our dock system only – absolutely no pet to be left unattended in our cottages or in the screened porches – if you go, they go

Policies – any violation of these rental policies or violations that disrupt the peace, safety and enjoyment of others, including Management, is cause for expulsion without notice, refund or credit

Quiet Time – In consideration of other guests and neighbours, we ask that no loud music be played outside of the cottage (day or night) and that there be no excessive noise (including voices – remember you are on a Lake, voices carry far) after 11:00 p.m. or before 8:00 a.m. – all music must be off by 11:00 p.m. and fires out by 1:00 a.m.- No foul or vulgar language anywhere on the property please

Smoking – All cottages are non-smoking – if you must smoke outside, make sure that the cottage door is closed and use the bin provided for ALL butts – a charge of $250.00 will be applied to credit card if clean-up is required

We reserve the right to limit the number of persons per cottage and to terminate a reservation at any time – a reservation is a firm contract for the duration of time originally reserved and no refund will be made for late arrival or early departure for any reason
